One of the great things about timeless statues is that you can learn alot from them. The light and shadows how they play on the surface, the way to create a 3-D oject using only 3 Micron pens… black, light gray and dark gray…

One of my favorite television programs is the British classic from the 1960s, The Prisoner. Although it spanned only a single season, I found it to be a captivating intellectual endeavor akin to a mental chess game. Patrick McGoohan’s portrayal of Number Six is a remarkable and multifaceted character. I had the privilege of contributing artwork to a licensed set several years ago. The cards displayed were created for a collector.
In April of 2025, Don’s 100 sketch cards he created for this set were shipped in packs throughout the world. Here are the cards.

Several years back, I started creating portraits of the characters from the HBO series Game of Thrones. I tried to find reference of images that showed the emotions behind these characters brought to life from the actors such as Peter Dinklage. I have completed 2-3 so far but this set will end of being about 12 pieces. Each is created with tiny dots and takes many hours to create.
(more…)Here is a piece I did of Frederick Douglass. It was created with the stipple style using a Sakura Micron Pen 005 black.

I completed this set several years ago. It was nice to work on something that I followed from my teen years. Included in the set were shell shaped cards we could do art on. Here is the Shredder I did.
